The Way You Make a Fist Reveals Secrets About Your Personality

There aren’t all that many occasions where I’m required to make a fist. I might clench my fist in frustration at a situation. I might make one to play “rock” during a game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors.” And, God forbid, I might create one if I ever get into a fight.

But it never occurred to me that the way I clench my fist actually says a lot about who I am as a person!

Just as your eating habits can be revealing, the type of fist you make can speak volumes about your personality. And since there are a limited number of places that your thumb can go in a fist, there are really only three different types of fist personalities.

This test is simple — all you have to do is make a fist. Is your thumb on the outside of your fingers, pointing up? Is it on the outside, laying across your other fingers? Or is it underneath your other fingers?

Scroll through below for an exclusive look at what each fist type reveals. As a person who clenches my fist with my thumb out and up, I was shocked by how accurate my description was!

Which Fist Type Are You?

In general, there are only three different thumb positions that can determine which “fist type” you are.

If you keep your thumb on the outside of your fingers, pointing up, you are Fist Type One.

If you keep your thumb on the outside, but it sits across your fingers, you are Fist Type Two.

If you cover your thumb with your other fingers, you are Fist Type Three.
