The purported plane incident occurred on September 14, 2016, merely days prior to Jolie initiating divorce proceedings against Pitt. The Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) and FBI conducted inquiries into Pitt following an anonymous tip concerning a contentious altercation he purportedly had with Jolie while journeying on a private jet from France to their Los Angeles abode.
