Police in Bolingbrook announced the arrest of a suspect.
According to Illinois police, a house invasion on Sunday night resulted in the deaths of two adults and a kid.
When Bolingbrook police arrived at the scene of a reported home invasion at 8:15 p.m., they discovered four people who had been shot.
According to officials, a woman was shot and injured, along with a guy, a woman, and a child.
Later on Sunday night, Bolingbrook Police announced that they had tracked down and arrested a shooting suspect.
“Our patrol officers and investigators are working diligently on all available leads and evidence at this time,” Bolingbrook Police wrote in their most recent statement.
Ryan Hedberg, a neighbor, reported hearing two gunshots after returning home to the typically “peaceful” area to ABC News’ Chicago affiliate, WLS.
“I heard two gunshots when I got home from dropping off my kids; there were reportedly more, but that’s what we heard sitting inside,” Hedberg added. Being over here, where it’s typically quiet, is kind of strange.
According to Census data, Bolingbrook is a suburb of Chicago that is around 30 miles away and has more than 73,000 people living there. With a median household income of $97,371 and a median home value of $242,600, Bolingbrook is one of the wealthiest cities in the Midwest.
