SC’s Mount Pleasant In December 2022, Mount Pleasant Police stopped Tamara Palmer for being inebriated. She was later diagnosed with a brain tumor. She was sent to the hospital for a headache and had life-changing surgery. It happened on December 2, 2022. Mount Pleasant police called US Highway 17 North.
Palmer was reckless and often hit the road shoulder. She was not driving drunk, despite police suspicions. She was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor that needed immediate removal. The police saved the citizen’s life.
The police described what happened.
“SC, Mount Pleasant, PFC Aton, and PFC Schoonmaker responded to the location of HWY 17 N on December 2, 2022, in pursuit of a probable drunk driver,” Mount Pleasant Police wrote on Facebook. SPO Schoonmaker stopped the car for repeated curb contact and lane-keeping violations. After stopping, driver Tamara Palmer was contacted. Ms. Palmer was sober. She complained of constant headaches to the police. The police contacted an ambulance after finding that Ms. Palmer may be in medical distress.”
“Ms. Palmer called the Mount Pleasant Police Department for a follow-up on February 19, 2023,” it added. The hospital found a brain tumor after she arrived. She received an 8-hour therapy session immediately and is healing nicely. Ms. Palmer says these officers saved her life. Their quick analysis may have changed things.”
