CLERMONT COUNTY, OHIO: An Ohio lady killed her husband, son, and father, gravely wounded her daughter, and then shot herself as police came to serve the family with eviction notices from their foreclosed house, according to authorities. The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office said that Theresa Cain, 46, fatally shot her husband, Steven Cain, 50, their son, Ethan Cain, 13, and her father, William Felton, 74, in their Ohio Township home on February 7.
The mother’s 20-year-old daughter, Samantha Cain, was shot in the brutal murder-suicide and remains in serious condition. As officials arrived to evict the household, they heard several gunshots from within. Four victims were shot dead, and a fifth, later identified as Samantha Cain, was alive.
Was Theresa Cain hiding something from family members?
Sheriff Steve Leahy said Thursday that Theresa Cain had hidden her financial problems from her family.
‘Victims probably knew.”
Investigators found a.38-caliber pistol they believe the mother used to murder her husband. Cain and his family were found upstairs. Investigators believe the murder victims were awake and aware. They believe they were killed before the police arrived at the house. “I suppose she kept this a secret, even though there should be resources for them. Samantha should recuperate and fill in some gaps,” “Leahy said.
Samantha Cain is comatose.
A relative said Thursday that Samantha Cain is in a coma but has a good chance of survival.
